Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all trade-in transactions with Regood Pty Ltd (“Regood”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By submitting a device for trade-in, you agree to these Terms

1. Definitions
  • “Regood” means Regood Pty Ltd.

  • “Device” means any electronic device submitted for trade-in.

  • “You” means the lawful owner of the Device.

2. Eligibility

To trade in a device, you must:

  1. Be 18 years or older.

  2. Be the legal owner of the Device.

  3. Confirm the Device is not lost, stolen, blacklisted, or under finance.

We may check IMEI/serial numbers.
Devices suspected to be stolen may be retained and referred to law enforcement.

3. Devices We Buy

Regood accepts selected models of iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

We may decline Devices that are:

  • Activation-locked or iCloud-locked

  • Blacklisted

  • Counterfeit

  • Significantly modified

  • Beyond economical repair

4. Describing Your Device

Your initial quote is based on your description of:

  • Model and storage

  • Cosmetic condition

  • Functionality

  • Battery health

  • Screen condition

  • Water damage

  • Any other disclosed issues

Accuracy ensures a correct quote.

5. Quotes & Validity

Quotes are indicative only and valid for 14 days.
If the Device arrives late or in a different condition, a revised offer may be issued.

6. Packaging, Shipping & Risk

Regood provides a prepaid shipping label for your trade-in.

Please make sure to:

  • Pack the device securely

  • Keep your lodgement receipt as proof of posting

  • Remove SIM cards and any accessories

Risk remains with you until Regood signs for and receives the delivery

7. Inspection & Re-Quotes

We generally inspect Devices within 1–2 business days.

  • If the Device matches your description → we proceed with payment.

  • If not → we send a revised offer.

If you decline the revised offer, we return the Device free of charge.

8. Activation Locks & Accounts

Before sending, you must:

  • Sign out of iCloud

  • Disable Find My

If a Device arrives locked, we will ask you to remove the lock.
If it is not removed within a reasonable timeframe, the Device will be returned.

9. Data & Privacy

Before shipping, back up and erase your Device.

Regood will:

  • Perform a secure data wipe on accepted Devices

  • Not access personal content

  • Not be responsible for SIMs, memory cards, or accessories left inside

Our Privacy Policy applies.

10. Payment

Payment is made by bank transfer or PayPal.
Once you accept the final offer, payment is typically processed within 24 hours.
You are responsible for providing accurate payment details.
Regood is not liable for banking or provider delays.

11. Title & Ownership Transfer

Ownership of the Device transfers to Regood after inspection is complete and payment is made.
If the Device is returned, ownership remains with you.

12. Cancellations & Returns
  • You may cancel before posting the Device.

  • After inspection, if you decline a revised offer, the Device will be returned at no cost.

13. Passwords, ID Verification & Data-Wipe Consent

Devices with forgotten passwords may be rejected, as we cannot process locked Devices.

For Devices that can be unlocked, we may request:

  • Photo ID

  • Contact details

  • Residential address

Regood reserves the right to perform data wiping and is not legally responsible for data loss.

14. Lost/Stolen Devices & Fraud Prevention

We cooperate with Australian law enforcement.

Devices may be retained if suspected to be:

  • Stolen

  • Fraudulently submitted

  • Incorrectly identified

  • Improperly owned

False identity or ownership may result in refusal of service.

15. Environmental Responsibility

Non-viable Devices are recycled in Australia.
Viable Devices are refurbished to extend their useful life.

16. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where permitted, our liability is limited to re-supplying the services or covering their cost

17. Limitation of Liability

Subject to Australian law, our total liability is capped at the final agreed trade-in amount.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss.

18. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays outside our control, including:

  • Postal disruptions

  • Natural disasters

  • System outages

  • Third-party service interruptions

19. Communications

We may contact you via email, SMS, or phone regarding:

  • Shipping

  • Inspections

  • Offers

  • Payments

  • Account updates

20. Severability

If any clause is found unenforceable, the remaining Terms continue in effect.

21. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and order confirmations, constitute the entire agreement between you and Regood for the trade-in process

22. Changes to Terms

Regood may update these Terms occasionally.
Updated Terms apply once published and govern future trade-ins.
